I'm Kayra — a lifelong learner, seasoned leader, and newly minted entrepreneur passionate about growth, service, and meaningful connection.

My journey started right out of high school, when I landed a job as a Keypunch Operator — not because I knew what it was, but because I had a 95 WPM typing speed and the determination to try. It took me three persistent attempts over six months to get the role. That moment set the tone for my career: show up, say yes, and figure it out.

Over nearly four decades, I built a career defined by adaptability, trust, and people-first leadership. I rose through the ranks not by chasing titles, but by staying curious, committed, and willing to grow. Every promotion I received was offered to me — until the last one. That was the first time I chose myself, initiating the conversation and preparing intentionally. It was a turning point that redefined how I saw my power.

But my leadership didn't start in the workplace — it began in childhood. As the eldest, I created the games, made the rules, persuaded others to join, and ensured we all had fun. Growing up in a tense home also taught me emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and how to read a room — skills I didn't know then would become foundational in business and life.

At age 10 or 12, I delivered newspapers door to door, building trust, selling subscriptions, and collecting payments. It was my first taste of entrepreneurship, and it stuck.

I've worked with standout brands like Morgan Stanley, Burdines, Lerner (now Style & Co), Hush Puppies, Burger King, and more. But I'm most proud of the legacy I built — the teams I led, the people I helped grow, and the culture of service I helped shape.

Now, I'm stepping into a new season — launching my own business, aligned with my values, rhythm, and desire to serve others excellently. I'm building something rooted in wisdom, fueled by experience, and inspired by what's still ahead.

Outside of work, I explore new places, cultures, food, and anything near the ocean. That's my reset button, my place of peace. I believe in living by seasons—letting go when it's time, growing where you're planted, and embracing the purpose of each chapter as it comes.

If we had coffee, you'd probably walk away thinking, I like her. You'd feel warmth, authenticity, and a little humor — maybe even a reminder to trust your journey a bit more.
